EAS Systems

EAS Systems, Inc. was founded in Ponce, Puerto Rico in July 1995 by Pedro J. Bonnin, a well known and respected merchant with over 40 years of business experience. The company is currently located at 1369 Salud Street in downtown Ponce. EAS Systems was originally founded as an electronic article surveillance (EAS) distributor. That same year EAS Systems became the sole distributor for Checkpoint Systems, Inc. in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. In order to complement its electronic article surveillance business and enhance their services, EAS Systems ventured into CCTV, access control, and advanced bar-coding markets. Due to their vast success in these markets and on-going customer demand EAS Systems launched their industrial and commercial security and advanced bar-coding division in late 1995. Among the services offered under our industrial and commercial security and advanced bar-coding division, we provide our clients consultanting services were we determine their organizational, operational and systems strengths and weaknesses. This service allows EAS Systems to better orientate our clients in developing programs which ensure the protection of their assets, prevent losses and maximize revenue. EAS Systems diverse product line and vast group of services help manufacturers, companies, retailers and small businesses to prevent losses caused by theft and disasters. Also EAS Systems helps guide clients cut cost through streamlined operations, enhanced inventory management and increased efficiency throughout the supply chain. This wide selection of products and services enables EAS Systems to custom design an integrated solution to meet specific needs for branding, tracking and securing inventory, personnel, property and other assets. In 2006 EAS Systems President, Pedro J. Bonnin, obtained the exclusive and internationally recognized Certified Protection Professional CPP designation, which is awarded to individuals whose primary responsibilities are in security management and who have demonstrated advanced knowledge in security solutions and best practices. In 2009, EAS Systems was the recipient of the "Retail of the Year Award" by the Minority Business Enterprise Center MBEC and the Asociación de Productos de Puerto Rico. In 2011, EAS Systems was granted the 8A SBA Certification and the Puerto Rico Minority Supplier Development Council Certification. In 2013, EAS Systems Inc. obtained the Disadvantage Business Enterprise Program Certification. In July 2015, EAS Systems, achieved the milestone of the 20th Anniversary. Up to this point EAS has been able to serve over 900 clients throughout Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
