East Leicestershire
NHS East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (ELR CCG) was established in April 2013 to plan and manage the majority of healthcare services for people living in East Leicestershire and Rutland. ELR CCG has responsibility for managing an NHS budget and monitoring contract performance of the services we commission. The CCG was created in shadow form in 2011 and from the outset we established a strong position in the management of local healthcare. In April 2012, we took on delegated budgetary responsibility from the Leicestershire County and Rutland Primary Care Trust (PCT) and became responsible for commissioning decisions, with the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland PCT Cluster retaining statutory obligations until ELR CCG was authorised.
