Eclipse Colour is a privately owned limited company. Established in 1999 we moved to our current, purpose built location in 2001. Right from 'day one' we've made a commitment to the latest in pre-press, press and post-press equipment and technologies to ensure we always lead the way in our sector. In 2004, to compliment the 10 colour and 12 colour Heidelberg B1 cutstar presses, we commissioned our first 16pp M600 Web press, complete with the comprehensive Scheffer inline finishing system, allowing for complex folded and glued products to be finished direct from the press, saving both production time and money. The introduction of a second, even faster, 16pp M600 in 2011 more than doubled our web capacity. Joining the BPIF in 2006 provided us with a first class advisory service and support for health & safety, personnel and many other industry related issues. We also commissioned Vision in Print (ViP) to aid us with 'Lean manufacturing' techniques which are now established throughout the company and drive continuous business improvements. The business now spans three adjacent production facilities in Kettering, Northamptonshire - ideally placed for motorway connections to the whole of the UK and Europe. Managing Director, Simon Moore has lead the company forward to our current position, demonstrating sustained 'year-on-year' growth and turnover in excess of £20 million - achieved through a combination of flexibility in press format, comprehensive finishing capabilities, production units running 24/7 and above all, an honest and transparent approach to client services. Early in 2011 Eclipse Colour and the 4DM Group completed a deal to merge the businesses to become one of the UK's largest commercial print and direct mail providers. Eclipse Colour acquired an initial 10% stake in 4DM as part of a 5 year strategy with the eventual outcome of Eclipse taking a majority shareholding in the 4DM Group. The integration of the resources, skills and talents in each business means we can now offer genuinely broader 'Cross Media' solutions to our combined customer base.
