El Dorado Musical Theatre
Since establishing El Dorado Musical Theatre, the creative staff was asked again and again if there were groups of performers willing to entertain at community service centers, holiday celebrations, and various local special events. High Voltage was established in 2009 to meet the need and has been performing ever since. An audition-only group, High Voltage performs together for an entire year, or in theater terminology, "season. The group size varies from season to season, but is generally about 20-22 performers ages 13-22. The creative team for High Voltage includes Director/Choreographer, Debbie Wilson and Vocal Director, Jennifer Wittmayer. The group has performed at venues ranging from Disneyland to the California State Capital Building to the Carnival Splendor cruise ship to Shriners Hospitals for Children. In addition, they also perform four shows each year at Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College, including a hugely popular "Holiday Celebration" show just before Christmas. If you're interested in becoming a High Voltage member, please look for audition information on this website. Auditions are held in mid-June each year. If you're interested in booking High Voltage for an event, please contact their producer, Alicia Soto at [email protected].
