Education Canada Group (ECG), formerly known as Education Consolidation Corporation (ECC), was established in January 2011 by Maxim Partners of Chicago, USA to acquire and expand private post-secondary colleges in Canada. In 2011, Maxim made its first acquisition when it acquired Robertson College Inc. (RCI). Shortly after in 2012, Maxim acquired Westervelt College, the oldest college in Canada and based in London, Ontario.
