EHS Compliance Services Inc. (EHS CSI) is a consulting firm that focuses on delivering effective environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance solutions to small to mid-sized companies. Our goal is to bring each client into compliance with applicable EHS regulations expeditiously while also implementing management systems that allow for compliance maintenance. EHS CSI operates under the guiding principles of excellence, integrity, collaboration, and value. Kahlilah L. Guyah, President and Principal Consultant at EHS CSI is responsible for creation and implementation of effective compliance solutions for small to mid-sized companies. Under her leadership, the company provided services to HeartWare, a multimillion dollar medical device company, and reduced over $1 M in potential regulatory fines over the course of two years. Most recently she led the EHS program implementation at Codman Neuro, a company that manufacturers neurovascular access devices, acquired recently by Johnson and Johnson. Kahlilah was introduced to the field of EHS in her initial assignment following graduate school as an Environmental Engineer with Cordis Corporation, a Johnson and Johnson Company, where she remained for seven years. More recently she has held roles in EHS at Hamilton Sundstrand, a company that manufactures and repairs aircraft components, and Watson Pharmaceuticals, a generic drug producer. These experiences and her desire to continually expand her knowledge have given Kahlilah the ability to flourish in fast paced manufacturing environments. Kahlilah is an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with over 13 years of comprehensive experience in delivering compliance solutions and implementing management systems. Her expertise include, but are certainly not limited to: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), local and state regulatory requirements; EHS auditing; hazardous material storage, transportation and disposal; training development and administration; wastewater and stormwater management; emergency response; environmental permitting and reporting. Kahlilah has a reputation as a strong communicator, team leader and problem solver. Kahlilah graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a MS degree in Chemistry and received her BS degree in Chemistry from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She is actively involved in the San Francisco Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers and Women in Safety Engineering.
