Eifeler Coatings Technology is a subsidiary of Eifeler Werkzeuge GmbH in Duesseldorf, Germany. The center, run and managed by experienced US personnel, utilizes the Eifeler technology to form an exceptionally favorable constellation tailored specifically to meet the needs of the customers in the US. Eifeler Coatings Technology is based forty miles west of Chicago in St. Charles, Illinois. As the first center outside of Europe, we already have a loyal and highly satisfied customer base. In 2009 we started a new "satellite center" in Elgin, South Carolina to serve our customers in the South East. In 2006 we achieved ISO 9001:2000 Certification. Our coating center features the most advanced Cathodic Arc coating equipment from Eifeler, offering a full-range of high-quality, commercial PVD coatings for carbide, high-speed and tool steels as well as medical devices. We have introduced a unique, layered coating technology that has shown significant performance benefits over traditional PVD coatings. Our coatings have been successfully tested for biocompatibility by the North American Science Associates. All tests report "no evidence of causing cell lysis or toxicity".
