English Language Programs
The English Language Programs are administered by the Center for Intercultural Education and Development (CIED) at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. CIED fulfills Georgetown University's commitment to international education and service. The Center designs and implements executive education and technical training programs for people and organizations from around the world. It's goal is to empower people to promote greater mutual understanding, strengthen democratic values, and support sustainable development. The CIED team of dedicated professionals has more than 30 years' experience in international education exchanges and development and has the ability to custom-design short- and long-term programs for governments, private enterprise, universities, and nonprofit organizations. Throughout the year, CIED promotes the English Language Programs, recruits highly qualified candidates, and recommends a roster of finalist candidates for each project. Throughout the candidate selection process, CIED's English Language Programs staff maintains ongoing communication with each applicant. The U.S. Department of State determines the final selection of candidates for each project.
