Emergency Medical Care

Emergency Medical Care Inc. is a privately-owned company responsible for managing ground ambulance, medical communications centre and air medical transport operations in Nova Scotia. Through a long-term contract with the provincial government's Emergency Health Services division, we work continuously to provide a high-quality pre-hospital care program to the people of our province. We achieve this through the more than 1,100 employees who work for us, including paramedics, nurses, communication officers and support staff. With more than 140 ambulances operating out of more than 60 bases and responding to more than 100,000 calls annually, we are dedicated to accessing all communities across the province in a timely and efficient manner. Our LifeFlight helicopter provides greater accessibility for remote incident scenes/regions and critical distance transfers.
