Empire Gas

Empire Gas Company is a full-service propane company proud to be serving Puerto Rico's propane industry since 1967. It hopes to continue providing its clients with the best quality of propane in the many years to come. Its founders, Ramón Gonzalez Cordero and Ketty Simounet Bey, started the liquified propane gas (LPG) wholesale distribution business, which Gonzalez Cordero named Empire Gas Co Inc., knowing that someday it would become an Empire. Fifty years later, the family-owned company and its subsidiaries are the empire they dreamed of. It is the island's largest LPG wholesaler with 70% of the market share, delivering an average of 74 million gallons of propane annually. Its more than 500 full-time employees work 365 days a year to serve clients in the commercial, industrial, public and residential sectors, as well as residences across the Caribbean. Empire Gas Company also introduced autogas and combined heat and power (CHP) services to offer its varied clientele other sustainable energy solutions.
