Energex American
"Energex Wood Pellets is one of the nation's oldest and largest residential wood pellet producers in North America. With plants in both the United States and Canada, Energex has supplied more wood pellet fuel to homes in the Northeastern United States than any other company on the market. We are proud to be a part of the NASCAR family." Energex began operations in 1993 after acquiring the Lac-Megantic, QC facility from the Shell Oil Company. Shell Oil constructed the Lac-Megantic facility in 1981. After being purchased by Energex, a packaging facility was added to bag premium grade wood pellet fuel and this completed the renovation, rehabilitation, and the modernization of the facility.
