Enterprise Foods launched in 1995 with a unique business model which offered manufacturing and supply management in the growing but fragmented craft bakery market. Within a decade, the food company built up to a turnover of £45 million, and has established itself as an industry pioneer providing craft bakery products on a national level. Throughout its development, Enterprise Foods has focused on continually developing its services to create a lean, streamlined system which enables customers to achieve the full potential of the craft bakery and locally sourced marketplaces with minimal costs and administration. Our system optimises sales opportunities and increases profitability. This focus has led to the implementation of a range of services, including Enterprise Category Management, Enterprise Technical, Enterprise Marketing and Enterprise Innovation. In November 2006, the company implemented a strategy change which saw its focus switch exclusively to supply management. The result is a unique food company which provides authority and expertise on the local sourcing supply chain, an easy-to-use one-stop ordering point and a range of supportive, cutting-edge services. From 2011 onwards we have built on the above successes by developing umbrella brands such as Truly Local, Pipers and The Local Deli Company, to ensure that the provenance and quality of our suppliers' ranges are marketed clearly and effectively to the end consumer. Aligned to this we have developed a range of different point of sale packages that are tailored for each and every customers need. This has facilitated our growth and development in areas such as dairy, condiments, hot food to go and beers, wines and spirits by using our knowledge and experience of local sourcing to bring these product ranges to a much larger audience. Integral to all of this has been investment in people, with a particular focus on support at account level. To this end our workforce has increased by 21% percent between 2013 and 2015.
