Enviro Rights Map

Enviro Rights Map is a project developed by Josh Gellers, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of North Florida , and affiliated with the Digital Humanities Institute at UNF. This site was created in partnership with Erin Daly and Jim May at Widener University Delaware Law School . Data for this website were compiled from the Comparative Constitutions Project , HeinOnlines World Constitutions Illustrated , Global Environmental Constitutionalism by James R. May and Erin Daly, and The Environmental Rights Revolution by David Boyd. At this time, the website features solidarity (also known as substantive) environmental rights, procedural environmental rights, statements of public policy, and the right to water at the national and subnational levels. Subsequent changes to environmental rights provisions and questions regarding the justiciability of these provisions are addressed in brief comments on country pages when possible. Phase I research assistance was provided by three ambitious and hardworking students at UC Irvine: Sarah Entezari, Ioana Raducu, and Rehan Vaid. Phase II research assistance was provided by Katharina Earle and Tyler Wilk, two dedicated and thorough law students at Delaware Law School. Phase III research assistance was provided by a multi-talented undergraduate student at the University of North Florida, Dennise Manansala. Phase IV research assistance was provided by Trevor Cheatham, a scrupulous graduate student in the MA program in International Affairs at UNF.
