Eurapharma

In its wholesale-resale business, Eurapharma delivers to some 5,000 retail pharmacies as well as hospitals and public entities in French-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa and the French overseas territories every day, through its network of 26 companies. We import and distribute products from 450 pharmaceutical companies. Our wholesale distribution companies were created in partnership with local pharmacists. Most of these companies are leaders in their market and take an active role in developing their country or territory health policy. In terms of procurement, wholesale-resale companies receive support from Continental Pharmaceutique, which is responsible for grouping and shipping the pharmaceutical products to be distributed by wholesalers-resellers. Founded in 1968 in Rouen, France, Continental Pharmaceutique is a French Health Products Safety Agency (AFSSAPS) approved export pharmaceutical business. The company has 80 employees and handles around 60,000 orders every year at its 5,500 sq. m. logistics hub at Grand-Quevilly, near Rouen. This represents 2,000 twenty-foot equivalent container units and 1,200 tonnes of air freight per annum. Continental Pharmaceutique carries 21,000 product references in its central database from 450 pharmaceutical companies.
