GABE, Global Academic-Business Exchange, is a unique program designed to provide Lebanese and GCC graduate students an opportunity to become part of an international professional experience through travelling and gaining first-hand understanding of the global professional atmosphere in their chosen fields. The program was created to meet the need of university students to gain practical knowledge of the global business world, and to open up new alternatives and choices for them while exploring their future career path. How does GABE work? Fresh Graduates enrolled in the program will travel and have the chance of a lifetime to visit multinational corporations, local enterprises, and government agencies, as well as being exposed to the culture of the country they are visiting through a special program of planned social activities. Each trip will focus on a specific business sector or category. Before travelling all participants will attend a 1-day intercultural development seminar about the business, culture, economy and politics of the country they will travel to. Who is eligible to participate? All university students between the ages of 21 and 26 are eligible to apply, whether they are undergraduates or pursuing graduate degrees in the field relevant to the specific business exchange. What are the destinations of the trips? GABE will launch its program with a focus on Engineering Trips to Germany in coordination with the German embassy "Make it in Germany" campaign seeking to recruit thousands of engineering graduates from all over the world for job placement. Students of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Engineering, will benefit from this rare opportunity. Future destinations will include other countries across the globe and will encompass a variety of disciplines. What are the costs and fees involved? The fees will vary based on the destination and length of stay; the cost will be reasonable and inclusive of travel, accommodations, inland transportation, meals, and social activities.
