"Evergreen is delighted to have been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification and I would like to thank DNV for working with us to achieve this. Evergreen is committed to providing quality services to its customers, as well as to operating safe and environmentally responsible transportation services. While achievements such as ISO certification show us that we are working in the right direction, we believe that the commitment to quality and safety is an ongoing one and we will therefore continue in our quest to find ways to improve and innovate our services." Evergreen Marine Corporation's quality policy was put in place with four key drivers in mind, namely: To provide consistently high service quality To focus on customer requirements To ensure the highest levels of safety To continuously improve and innovate Evergreen has long realised the value of quality operations. Even before achieving ISO 9001:2000 certification, the company regularly executed internal quality control systems based on ISO regulations. The decision to formally apply for certification under the supervision of DNV was made in August 2002. All related examinations and internal and external evaluations were satisfied by the company in November.
