Exit Films

Exit Films is an independent directors' collective that has become one of the most awarded producers of television commercials and music videos in Australia. Founded in 1995 by Danish born Henrik Dannerfjord, his vision was to create a commercially successful Australian studio, where directors could work independently in a supportive environment. A converted Richmond warehouse was home to EXIT for the first 9 years, where Dannerfjord built a creative home for directors to further their professional careers whilst developing their personal projects. Exit has since moved to a new home: a stylish three storey warehouse conversion in South Melbourne, with the same signature natural light pouring through walls of windows into a clean white space. The philosophy is to give directors their own workspace but allow free communication between peers, encouraging them to collaborate, compete, inspire each other and share troubleshooting tips. This is why Exit remains one of the most fresh and exciting creative places to be.
