Fabritex

Fabritex, Inc. is family owned and operated with a long history in manufacturing emphasized on tube fabrication and sheet and plate fabrication. The company was founded in 1992 with a commitment to excellence coupled with an unparalleled respect for the needs of customers. We develop and maintain a position of leadership in the marketing of tubular wire carriers, stem baskets, annealing process materials and handling devices, as well as other auxiliary wire processing solutions. We also developed a strong position in the tube bending and metal fabrication markets with acquisitions of state-of-the-art CNC equipment that provide high-speed prototypes and production with consistent repeatability. We also have customers who have partnered with us for many years where we maintain a parts inventory for them so that they can get immediate shipping as required. We pride ourselves with working with small developing companies, providing them with engineering support and manufacturing technology to produce their concepts and products. Fabritex has completed two, back-to-back five year wire fabrication projects with the US Army Corps of Engineers, consuming two million pounds per year of 201 stainless steel wire manufacturing revetment mats for soil erosion prevention on the Mississippi River. In January 2008 we were awarded a third consecutive contract for another five years. Fabritex has been certified with U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for the past 12 years and also in 2007 received its HUB Zone "historically underutilized business zone" certification. The HUB Zone program is in line with the efforts of both the Administration and Congress to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas by providing access to more Federal contracting opportunities. Fabritex accelerated our quality program by attaining our ISO 9001: 2008 Certification in January 2006 through QMI. Through several continual improvement projects we have worked with Athens Area Technical College, Georgia Tech and Georgia Quickstart funded through the state for training in Lean Manufacturing, Five-S, High Performance Leadership and Industrial Safety. In 2008 Fabritex was the second manufacturing plant in the state of Georgia to be 100% Certified Work Ready . Continual improvement at Fabritex is something we do every day.
