Factories Corporation of Jamaica

Factories Corporation of Jamaica (FCJ) has primary responsibility for the development and management of industrial and commercial space in the public sector. The Agency is in the business of leasing and managing industrial, commercial and office spaces to investors. Today, FCJ manages over 170,000 square meters of industrial space which it provides for a wide cross section of industries such as: manufacturing, food processing and commercial activities. With the prospects that the Information & Communication Technology ICT industry now holds, the organization embarked on another phase of expansion to cater to that industry. The agency now owns 13,199 square meters of purpose -built space and retro-fitted 10,404.65 square meters of existing space for the industry. In support of the Government's plan to develop Jamaica as the fourth node in Global Logistics, FCJ is now developing projects which will be suitable for Special Economic Zones which will facilitate transnational manufacturing and distribution companies, and facilitate value added activities.
