The FEO has proposed to maintain lists of members for Trade Unions as part of its ongoing electoral related responsibility. The FEO already maintains Voter Registration records of over 600,000 Fijians and will be able to expand its IT capacity to cater for this new database. Participants, especially those from the Fiji Nursing Association expressed their appreciation to FEO for using Postal Ballot for their election allowing all nurses the opportunity to vote. Postal ballots are an alternative form of voting that FEO uses in cases where the voter is engaged in essential services.
