Established in 1968, Family Housing Advisory Services' (FHAS) mission is to improve the quality of life and eliminate poverty by helping people achieve housing stability and financial security. FHAS is committed to, and compassionate about, finding solutions to address poverty-related problems through housing and financial education and advocacy. Our goal is to make a positive impact in our community...one household at a time. Our programs reach low-to-moderate income persons seeking to avert a crisis and/or improve their housing, finances, and quality of life through a unique combination of services that change the way we think about money, saving, spending priorities, and preparing for the future, thereby, eradicating poverty and bringing about self-sufficiency, changing the landscape of impoverished communities and our city, one household at a time.
