Fingleton Associates
Our vision is of markets that work well for society. We help smooth unnecessary frictions that exist between companies, regulators and markets. The firm was founded in 2013 by John Fingleton, who had previously run the UK Office of Fair Trading (now the Competition and Markets Authority) and the Irish Competition Authority, and was Chair of the International Competition Network. Our team is multidisciplinary, combining those with first-rate training in economics, law and other areas. What unites us is the ability to tackle complex matters from first principles, often anticipating issues before others do. Many of our staff have worked for competition authorities or for regulators. Consumers, and the benefits they and the wider economy derive from competition and innovation, are central to how we think about the issues our clients face. We also understand first-hand the challenges for regulators in seeking to fulfill their statutory objectives.
