Digital IMS
"Digital IMS also offers the opportunity for churches to receive improved customer service, training and advanced technical support through a fully staffed training and call center. This level of service greatly reduces the challenges churches have with volunteers updating the site," Love said. "It was also important for us that we work with a company that shared our mission and vision of building a community and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ," Love said. This merger allows churches to have an integrated Web site solution that offers an extensive suite of fellowship software. Features include: , Membership directory with a "Find People Most Like Me" feature , Prayer requests , Discussion forums , Newsletters and announcements , Daily devotionals and Bible verse searches , Calendar of events , Sermon notes , Instant updates of content with no software of programming knowledge Dan Nuckolls, MinistryPresence President, will manage the product. Nuckolls comes to Digital IMS with over twelve years experience in technology and media ministry. He has worked in both marketing and production management in both the secular and Christian aspects of television, graphic design and Web services. Steve Lacy, MinistryPresence Founder and Chief Visioneer, will continue to guide further development of the fellowship tools. "Through our research we discovered MyFlock and were impressed with the tools they had developed. They had an understanding of how churches use the Web to connect to their congregations. It just made sense that we partner with them on MinistryPresence to create a resource for churches that blends high-technology with ministry outreach," Nuckolls said. "The success we have had with our corporate products allows us to contribute back to local communities," Nuckolls said. "We not only offer a great Web site solution, but we are now able to serve the Lord by providing a technological ally and support structure to aid churches and ministries in fulfilling their mission of spreading the Gospel." MyFlock launched in April 2001 as an online community solution for Alive Church in Tucson, Arizona so that church members and pastors could interact with each other. Pastor Jeff Love and Steve Lacy developed the product and quickly built their client base to over two hundred congregations nationwide. Digital IMS, based in Lincoln, Nebraska, specializes in providing industry specific and multi-unit Web site solutions based on the needs of the end user.
