Food4Change

Although the trade name Food4Change was introduced in 2017, the story of Food4Change has a long history. Food4Change is a trade name of Specialty Distributing Ltd; a privately held corporation founded, owned and inspired by the Trischuk family, originally from Wakaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Here is the story as told by company founder and President, Howard Trischuk: "Three generations ago, our family immigrated to Canada from Europe. My grandfather brought with him to this new land a strong work ethic, a strong back and a strong desire to succeed. Our background is agricultural, but with a keen interest in business and entrepreneurship we took every opportunity to add value to our products. Th­is led first to cold pressing oilseeds, then packaging and finally importing to add to our ever-growing list of products we offer our customers. We attribute our success to hard work, innovation and a strong team. We are looking forward to continuing to build on what my father began when he became one of Saskatchewan's first specialty oilseed producers." In 2014, we began construction on our Delta BC location which became operational in Fall 2016. With facilities now in Saskatoon, the heartland of Canada's fertile prairie, and Delta, a vibrant Pacific port city, Food4Change is set to expand our role in the organic food industry. Food4Change is an industry leader with growth averaging more than 18% per year since 2012. We are proudly representing the best of Canadian production throughout the organic food world.
