FORESTADENT
FORESTADENT presented its novelty at the IDS - QuicKlear brackets for use on upper teeth 5 to 5 are now available. This allows the ceramic version of the proven, self-ligating Quick 2.0 system to match the beauty of natural teeth even more immaculately. From now on, FORESTADENT QuicKlear ceramic brackets provide the perfect disguise in the mouth. They are now available for use on upper teeth from 5 to 5 to allow even more aesthetic correction of malaligned teeth. QuicKlear-Brackets are self-ligating and impress with their top aesthetics, due to being translucent and highly stable. These active, twin-winged brackets are rounded optimally and feature the proven and trusted closing mechanism of the Quick 2.0 system. The optically small, and therefore virtually invisible, clip is made of a highly elastic chromium-cobalt alloy. Two integrated mechanisms guarantee easy and gentle opening of the clip. Opening with a probe from the gingival aspect is simplified by a special, easily seen funnel and guidance channels. The clip is closed by exerting gentle finger-pressure. An inverse-formed hook-style base provides for optimum bonding between the bracket and tooth as well as straightforward debonding without chipping the enamel. It features offset retaining perforations as well as mesio-distal bevels. These ensure that the bracket can be removed without splintering using pliers or the special Pauls Tool. An occluso-gingival edge on the bracket base prevents excess adhesive flowing into the clip mechanism. It also simplifies the removal of excessive adhesive. QuicKlear brackets are low-friction and, when used with thermoelastic arches such as the BioStarter, require the application of only minimal forces. Rounded slot edges as well as the four contact points in the slot enable the forces to be transferred in a controlled manner and provide for precise, rapid alignment. Whereas tooth-shaded, coated archwires have not been indicated for metal and ceramic slots to date, these can certainly be used with QuicKlear brackets. Thus, Titanol Cosmetic archwires (also from FORESTADENT) create all-round natural optics and excellent aesthetics. A new instrument - the Quick archwire tool - is available immediately for placing the archwire in the bracket slot even easier and faster. It will be included in the QuicKlear-Starter kit from May 2009 or can be ordered separately.
