Forfar Dramatic Society
The Society was formed in 1930 and since then has produced more than 200 full-length and one-act plays for presentation in Forfar and as part of local drama festivals. The Society's calendar has previously revolved around the production of 2 full length plays (in May and November) and 1 or 2 one-act plays (in February/March) which are either performed in house or as part of the SCDA's one-act play festival. Recently we have moved to 3 full length plays, one in November, one in March and one during Forfar Gala Week in mid June. We meet weekly at our clubrooms, Studio 132, in Forfar town centre, and are always keen to hear from people keen on joining our society! Following the recent AGM, the following four Members have been voted on as Charity trustees and make up the Management Board for the forthcoming year 2019 - 2020: Christopher Hewitson - President Kay Brown - vice-President Douglas Watt - Treasurer Debbie Riley - Secretary Drew Barnett - Board Member Graham Hewitson - Board Member Forfar Dramatic Society's regular club night takes place on Tuesday evenings (usually from 7.30pm) from August-May at our base at Studio 132, 132 East High Street.
