Located in South Dakota in the United States, Forest Products Distributors (FPD) specializes in the international lumber and log trade as well as domestic distribution, production and processing of lumber. Founded in 1979, FPD began as a domestic softwood lumber trading company. Over the past 3 decades, we have expanded into a reputable company with re-manufacturing capabilities and an extensive distribution network. Furthermore, we also expanded beyond our domestic reach and began operating in the international marketplace where we provide quality products to customers worldwide. FPD has over 30 years of experience in both the import and export of lumber and wood products and boasts annual sales of about $100 million. Our knowledge, experience, and excellent credit rating has enabled us to export more than 50 containers of kiln dried softwoods and hardwoods each month from South America, Europe, and the United States to Asia, Southwest Asia, and other foreign countries. Furthermore, we also export approximately 40 containers each month of hardwood logs from the southern region of the USA (Mississippi) around the world. We have exported more than 5000 containers just in the last 5 years to several direct customers and agents in China, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, and Israel. Our dedication to customer service and our knowledge of the industry has allowed us to grow into a global softwood and hardwood forestry products company. However, we know that we still have a long way to go to achieve all of our goals. We want to expand our distribution and sales to even more countries and have even a broader reach.
