Foster Enterprises

Foster Enterprises is a third generation real estate development company. Originally created in 1955 as "T. Jack Foster and Sons",the first and second generations were the developers of Foster City and other large residential developments. Now a real estate investment company run by the third generation of Fosters; Foster Enterprises is a holding company that invests in commercial, industrial, residential and warehouse properties through partnerships and limited liability companies. Created by T. Jack Foster Sr. who passed away in the sixties, it was then operated and owned by two of his three sons, T. Jack Foster Jr. and Richard H. Foster. The two brothers completed the Foster City project along with several other large developments in Hawaii, Texas and New Mexico. From high rise hotels to zero lot line subdivisions, T. Jack and Richard expanded the residential development company to include developments in Maryland, Virginia and Florida. Joined by three of T. Jack Sr.'s grandchildren in the eighties, Jack III, Mark and Todd ran the company's development arm by 1987. In the nineties, the third generation began to switch the emphasis from focusing solely on residential projects to commercial developments. From entitlements to repositioning, Foster Enterprises was involved in deals from Los Angeles to San Francisco. As today's markets continue to present a variety of constantly changing and challenging conditions, Foster Enterprises has been able to reposition itself once again by using it's breadth of knowledge and experience to push forward on a diverse portfolio of projects and investments, and expand into new and burgeoning markets. Residential and commercial entitlement projects, infrastructure construction, build-to-suit services, and facilities/property management comprise the majority of our current projects and investments. Foster Enterprises currently manages nearly 250,000 square feet of its own office and R & D space in the San Francisco bay area and owns over 6,500 acres of land in California, Florida, Hawaii and Costa Rica for possible future development. Foster Enterprises is a financially strong, modern real estate company capable of adapting to the markets of today and tomorrow.
