Fresh Start Bakery

Fresh Start Bakery was founded in 2013 in downtown Gowanstown by the owner and principal baker; Dave Tophen. Dave baked for over 20 years for different stores in a major grocery chain, but after they switched from baking in store to thaw & serve frozen product, he found he missed the sight, smell and sounds of the fresh baked goods they no longer made in store. After much dreaming and deliberation, he left them in April 2013 to open his own bakery. Our bakery is located in the former Gowanstown post office with ample parking a mere 10 steps away from the door. We accept orders for cakes, buns, rolls, breads, pies, platters and other baked goods... Call or email us your special request, even if it's just a small order... We'll have it fresh and ready for you. We also supply local restaurants and caterers - use the 'Contact Us' to contact Dave for samples and pricing on breads, buns, pies or whatever you would like. We are also willing to work with you to create signature products.
