Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District

Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District

The Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District devotes significant resources to planning and design of construction projects to update existing facilities and to expand capacity to accommodate growth. The time lines for these construction projects can span several years. Our objective is to maintain capacity at a level that is prudently greater than the maximum wastewater flows that we anticipate. District staff members are continually refining growth projections to make certain that our sewers and processing facilities have sufficient capacity and do not become obsolete. Our present master plan anticipates community needs through the year 2020. That document guides our program of phased treatment plant capacity increases and sewer construction. The Sewer System Master Plan was updated in 2008.
