Faculty of Contemporary Arts

Our main goals are directly related to and dependent on the current trends, both in the domestic and international labor market, as well as economic activities related to the development of art, culture, and creative industries in general. The main goals of FCA are prescribed by the governing bodies of the Faculty, i.e. the Faculty Council, on the proposal of the Academic Council. They are public and available to all interested parties (employees, students, users, as well as general public) on the official website of FCA, emails, bulletin boards, and digital and print publications of FCA. Our main tasks include: providing equal opportunities to all candidates to acquire higher education on the same conditions, as well as lifelong learning; developing and advancing science by means of transferring professional and expert knowledge to students, and providing original scientific contribution aimed at developing a knowledge society; training and educating new generations of scientists and experts in other areas in line with the needs of the modern labor market, economy, culture, arts and trade in general; meeting the needs for knowledge acquisition and professional development of every individual attending one of the FCA study programs. The mission and vision of FCA are based on the realization of specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound goals: broad and proactive compliance with the national, European and global standards and trends in the field of higher education; complete synergy between scientific research and education; systematization of scientific knowledge and its implementation in the teaching process and scientific research in the field of culture, art, cultural management, creative communications and creative business; continuous development and advancement of science through its harmonization with the latest scientific and professional knowledge, and continuous professional development of our employees; keeping up with the latest achievements and trends in education, and their prompt implementation in the educational profiles and curricula at FCA in order to build the most efficient system that helps students acquire adequate scientific and professional knowledge; implementation of the best local and international practices in all covered areas and processes, with special emphasis on teaching, research and management; continuous improvement of the quality management system, study programs, teaching process, scientific research and professionalism, student assessment and evaluation, textbooks and literature, resources, support, management; continuous effort aimed at strengthening students' trust into educational services and transparency of FCA, as well as strengthening student engagement as partners in quality improvement; establishing, maintaining and improving cooperation with national and international referent institutions of higher education and other institutions for the purpose of science development, improvement of the educational process, and best possible response to users' needs.All activities of FCA, especially the development, design, and realization of study programs, as well as their periodic reviews as one of the key segments of scientific and educational activity, are in line with the defined mission, vision, values, quality policy, main tasks and goals, and quality assurance strategy of the Faculty. The feasibility of all initiatives for the improvement of educational and other processes is assessed by FCA management, and harmonized with the financial framework, as well as the actual sustainability in the local and global context.
