Garagiste

Garagiste, which takes its name from a French artisanal wine movement, is a boutique direct-to-consumer wine and gourmet foods retailer that sells via email messages from its founder, Jon Rimmerman. Customers pick up their purchases in the Seattle area, where the company is headquartered. Garagiste also ships orders directly to consumers outside the Seattle area twice annually. They currently ship to customers in the District of Columbia and all US states except Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts. Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, and Utah. Garagiste is a family business that does not have a board or directors or any investors, nor do they advertise. They do not have any physical retail outlets or warehoused inventory, save for the inventory customers have purchased that has not yet been picked up or shipped.
