At Gateways to Better Living, Inc., we provide a dignified, fun and safe environment for developmentally disabled individuals. We started as a private non-profit in 1972, and with a number of facilities, a knowledgeable staff and a caring approach, we are one of the most successful private organizations serving medically fragile individuals and individuals with challenging behaviors in northeast Ohio. By empowering our individuals and providing a full set of specialized programs designed for individuals with various physical, emotional and mental challenges, we offer person-centric services. We offer a healthy, normal lifestyle that emphasizes choices for all individuals. Gateways to Better Living, Inc.'s services include ICF/DD group homes, respite care, waiver services, housing management and adult day programming through fully customized facilities in Mahoning County. Whether we are serving our individuals in their homes, at workshop or in our facilities, we provide necessary assistance while still giving our individuals personalized choices for key decisions. This approach helps them to feel independent, empowered and self-confident.
