The Grand Bahama Sailing Club

GBSC is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensure the sport of sailing is accessible to all. The Grand Bahama Sailing Club is a family oriented members only club located at the Sir Charles Hayward Yacht Club in Freeport. The prime objective of the Club is to promote sailing and ensure the sport is accessible to all in Grand Bahama. This is achieved primarily through volunteer efforts, fundraising, social events and community business supporters. The Club has been providing sailing lessons to several local and international youth since 2006, and more recently has expanded its course offerings to include adult sailing classes. In addition to sailing, there is an active tennis program which hosts weekly clinics and scheduled round-robin tournaments and encourages participation from all levels. After fun on the water and tennis courts, the bar is often open to enjoy a cocktail on the veranda which has a gorgeous view of the canal and ocean.
