The General Culture Authority
Article 13 of the Decree stipulated the establishment of a General Culture Authority with a board of directors headed by HE, the Minister of Culture and Information. Council of Ministers Decision No. 356 dated 14/7/1438H approved the regulation of the General Culture Authority and assigned it the mission of supervising the culture sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and Information. The Decision granted the Authority a legal personality, and financial and administrative independence. The General Culture Authority seeks to develop and revitalize the cultural sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the development of legal frameworks; supporting various public and private cultural institutions; supporting intellectual and cultural talents by providing training, education, and funding programs; and concluding partnerships with international cultural organizations to share experiences and gain best practices.
