Gregory Condes Wines
Gregory Condes Wines was started in 2011, to provide fine restaurants and wine retailers a unique portfolio that was both focused on quality and geographically diverse. The company works directly with wineries as an importer/distributor. In his experience as a sommelier buying wines for fine restaurants and retailers, and then as an account executive selling wines to fine restaurants and retailers, Condes found that buyers were looking for a distributor who could assure quality not just at the producer level, but of each individual wine in the portfolio. Condes realized he could deliver on this goal by focusing on high quality small producers, who often are underrepresented in the market place. True to this vision, Gregory Condes Wines carries a carefully selected book of wines from outstanding small producers from California, France, Italy and other legendary wine regions. Prior to starting Gregory Condes Wines, Condes had the honor of serving as wine director of Restaurant Gordon Ramsey in New York, founding sommelier of Alex Restaurant at the Wynn Las Vegas, sommelier at Restaurant Gary Danko in San Francisco, sales associate at K&L Wine Merchants, and account executive at Vinity Wine Company. Condes has passed the service and tasting portions of the Court of Master Sommeliers examination. He also earned the WSET advanced diploma. In addition to wine, Condes is passionate about his family, the San Francisco Giants and "living the dream".
