GD Correctional Services

In 2013, GD Correctional Services, LLC was formed in a corporate restructuring from Gourmet Dining LLC. GD Correctional Food Service (GDCFS) began in the correctional food service division when it began operations at the Essex County Corrections Facility in 1991, when the county went from a self-operation to an outside vendor. GDCFS provided correctional food services to the Essex County Jail and Youth Detention center for 13 years serving over 41 million meals without incident. In 2009, GDCFS won the bid for the Monmouth County Correctional Facility and took part in the 6 star ACA accreditation process. In July 2010, Gourmet Dining began operations at the Essex County Correctional Facility competing a transition in a 2-week period after being awarded the contract. A year later, we were very involved in the proposal and evaluation process of the Federal Government in Essex's bid to house ICE detainees. GDCFS is a family owned and operated company.
