Jumeirah College

Jumeirah College

With regional exceptions, Jumeirah College delivers The National Curriculum for England to Years 7 to 13. An outstanding school, renowned for securing impressive outcomes for all students across a range of abilities and interests, we explore and embrace every opportunity to develop and support our students from over 60 nationalities. Staff and strong partnerships with parents are an integral part of the school's philosophy. The College is registered with the DfE, Department for Education and Skills in London as an overseas school and as an examination centre for the appropriate UK examination boards. Whilst not a selective College, our students are fluent English speakers and attain the equivalent of 4b as a minimum in Key Stage 2 before joining the College. Students in Key Stage 4 prepare for GCSE examinations, whilst Key Stage 5 (or Sixth Form), focusses on the study of Advanced Level courses (A Levels). Entry into our Sixth Form, and subject choice, is dependent upon attainment at Key Stage 4. Our subject offer at GCSE and A level is extensive and the widest available locally. We do not compare our students to average benchmarks. We prioritise understanding our students as learners and as individuals. By analysing data from a variety of sources regarding base-line cognitive ability tests, prior attainment, regression data and predictors we personalise targets against which to track progress. Value-added reports corroborate our impact in affording students every advantage in driving 'progress beyond limits'. Academic outcomes are matched by personal and skill development which grows dynamic and impactful global citizens, who are equipped to play a leading role in whichever walk of life they choose.
