General Cartage & Express

General Cartage was originally established in 1949. Ross D. Moore purchased the company in 1954. With the purchase of Lynch Cartage in 1958 came our first terminal, in downtown Toronto. In 1971 the company moved to a new and larger facilities in south Etobicoke, where we continue to operate from today. From a 1-truck operation in 1949 we have grown to a fleet of 35 straight trucks (many with power tailgates), 45 tractors and over 150 highway trailers.
