Genting

Resorts World Berhad is involved in a tourist resort business at Genting Highlands. The Company's activities cover leisure and hospitality services, which comprise amusement, gaming, hotel and entertainment. The principal activities of its subsidiaries include property development and management, leisure and hospitality services, investments, time share ownership scheme, tours and travel-related services. The Company operates in two segments: Leisure & Hospitality, which includes the gaming, hotel, entertainment and amusement businesses, tours & travel related services and other support services, and Properties, which holds the land held for development of the Company. In July 2007, it acquired Aliran Tunas Sdn Bhd. In August 2007, it acquired Phoenix Track Sdn Bhd. On June 5, 2008, Genting Utilities & Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, acquired Netyield Sdn Bhd. On September 5, 2008, it incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Orient Star International Limited.
