George Green's School
George Green's is a very unique school with a history of over 160 years. George Green was a successful business man who gave back to his community and we emulate this through extending our practice into our local community and beyond. Staff and students alike are very proud to be part of this learning community. Our specialism is Humanities with our lead subjects being English, Drama and Citizenship, all areas of excellence within the curriculum. The work these departments do both within the school and externally in the community are stunning celebrations of what our students can do. The vision for George Green's School is to raise achievement within a framework of equality of opportunity and inclusion for all. Our mantra is All Different All Equal , Learn Today Succeed Tomorrow. We value each child no matter what their ability or disability. Our job is to meet their individual needs through a personalised programme so each individual will achieve their personal best. In order to do this we have to be consistent in our approach but be flexible in our delivery. Our Sixth Form have been delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma since September 2008. We believe the ethos of Sharing our Humanity is replicated through our current practice as a Humanities specialist school and our practice as an IB school. The IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
