GESIS - Leibniz-Institute for the Social Sciences is the largest infrastructure institution for the Social Sciences in Germany. With more than 300 employees in two locations (Mannheim and Cologne) GESIS render substantial, nationally and internationally relevant research-based infrastructure services. Computational Social Science is one of the main research topics at GESIS. The researchers develop algorithms and novel, non-obtrusive methods for the social sciences based on state-of-the-art approaches from the domains of machine learning, data mining and network analysis.
