We started relying on Gordons strategic programming design skills back in 1994 when he designed several aspects of the DTX distribution system he had built, to meet our specific requirements. This meant we could move off a poorly performing generic system. We had many complex units of measure, related to various pack sizes and bases of pricing. Over the years he developed this system into a window based package for the Distribution market, which had to evolve to meet our growing and complicated needs. Many other companies used this system, from small operators to many with multiple branches and hundreds of users. Having had several years working with Gordon, around 2007, we decided to get Gordon to design from scratch, a bespoke Window's based Production IT System to cover our manufacturing activities in the area of blown film products and bag based products. It had to be scalable and be capable of growing with us. There was nothing on the market to replicate the information we needed. This led to Gordon having to learn and understand our physical processes, record them and then design a system architecture, from processes to screen layouts. He then had the programmers based in Belfast and India program the system we required, from his design. It also had to interphase with our existing distribution system. This was all successfully done, which was a very technical demanding feat, as we had multiple process flows and many specification variables.
