Gibson Area Hospital and Health Services (GAHHS) is designated as a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) under Medicare guidelines, with 25 inpatient beds, 42 long term care beds, Rural Health Clinics and specialty physician offices, and ambulance locations serving the public in Gibson City and all or parts of eight central Illinois counties (Champaign, DeWitt, Ford, Iroquois, Livingston, McLean, Piatt, and Vermillion). GAHHS is a 501 (c) (3), Not-For-Profit organization, Joint Commission certified, a Health Grades Five Star Designated Orthopedic facility, a Women's Certified designated Best Obstetrics Hospital, and #1 in the Nation in Patient Satisfaction in 2009 and 2011 as designated by Arbor & Associates.
