GIRD Systems
For more than a decade, GIRD Systems has been focused on applying the latest in digital signal processing research to some of the most difficult challenges faced by the Department of Defense and other government agencies in the areas of communications and electronic warfare. Our customer base includes most of the major research branches within the DoD including Navy SPAWAR, Air Force Research Lab, and Army CECOM. We also collaborate with and consult for some of the largest defense contractors in the industry. Our areas of specialization include: Mitigation of interference in challenging or hostile signal environments Compressive sampling Geolocation for GPS-denied environments Compressed sensing for wide-bandwidth SIGINT and COMINT Communications waveform design and porting GIRD Systems relies on a team that includes well-published PhD-level researchers and developers working with the latest hardware and software. Our intellectual property base includes a library of novel algorithms that outperform approaches published in literature. We also frequently develop custom algorithms tailored to the specific needs of an issue. In competitive technical evaluations, GIRD Systems has consistently delivered approaches that offer not only the best performance, but are also efficient enough to be implemented in real-time systems. After our algorithms are verified through simulations and hardware-in-the-loop testing, GIRD Systems has a team of experienced engineers to implement the algorithms in hardware and software-based systems.
