Gis& Web S.r.l. mission is to provide public bodies and private companies with the best Open Source Web applications for the management of geographical information and digital public services. The Company was founded in January 2005. We operate in different sectors, such as: urban planning municipal land use management environmental monitoring mobility management energy and water networks planning and management tourist destinations management and promotion Gis & Web S.r.l. promotes and supports GFOSS initiatives, including GisClient (http://gisclient.org) development, that is, is a web authoring tool configurator for MapServer that enables the user both to build Mapfiles and to provide OpenLayers maps, released with GNU/GPL 3 licence. Gis & Web S.r.l is involved in the PloneGov initiative, an international network of Public Authorities and developers, aimed at sharing the best OS solutions in the public sector.
