The number one livestock auction market in northeastern Montana has its home in Glasgow at the Glasgow Stockyards Inc. The stockyards is located a short distance east of town on the Fort Peck Highway. Livestock marketed at the livestock auction have their beginning on some of the finest cattle ranches with nationwide reputations for the production of outstanding stocker and feeder cattle. Established in 1946, Glasgow Stockyards Inc. has been providing the livestock producers of northeastern Montana with a strong, competitive auction market. The established, experienced staff of dedicated marketing specialists are actively working for the grower every day of the year. All class cattle and hog auctions are held each Thursday with sheep and horse auctions held seasonally. The Glasgow Stockyards is proud to host many of the top breeding bull production auctions in Montana each spring. Other marketing options include Northern Livestock Video Auction as well as private treaty sales. The Glasgow Stockyards Inc. can also provide farm and ranch auction services. State of the art features at the Glasgow Stockyards include office and ring computers along with an electronic ring scale. Employing over 25 people, the Glasgow Stockyards provides a strong economic base for the Glasgow community.
