Glencom Systems
Glencom Systems is an added value reseller marketing network infrastructure and networking security products and services in the New Jersey/ New York metropolitan Area. We began business in 1986 with our principle office located in Linden, NJ. Our initial focus was providing infrastructure and security products serving users of minicomputer based networks. We sold Statistical multiplexes, analog and digital modems, protocol converts, line drivers, data PBX and similar products that offered their users cost saving connectivity and networking remote users to the centralized mini-computers at headquarters. Since 1986 Glencom Systems invested in training and formed business partnerships with leading companies like Novell, NET, LANNET, Rad data communications and many other well known companies of the time. As the microcomputers and network servers proved to be more cost effective than minicomputers, Glencom Systems purchased local area and wide area analyzers and formed additional business partnerships with companies like Microsoft, Checkpoint Software, Avaya, Cisco and many others that offered hardware and software to build high performance, high availability and secure networks within the local area with wide area links using technologies like VPN, ISDN, Frame relay as well as private dedicated high speed links. We became a participating Internet partner in November, 1991 when the Internet was reserved for use by the federal, state, and local governments, education, and companies that were doing business with the earlier and companies fostering the growth and doing research on the Internet suite of protocols. We were an early Internet Service Provider (ISP) before larger and better financed companies like UUNET, Aol rendered the Internet service provider business unprofitable for us. But we leaned early and still today use our experience, training and practical applications knowledge to assist our customers and future prospects the best and most cost effective methods to use networking technologies to better their bottom line. We don't publish a line card because we are not a distributor, volume reseller or an added value reseller that specializes only in branded name products or services. Some companies we partner with are not well known to most of our customers because the products they develop and manufacture are specialized to solve unique problems and applications. We have many collaborative customers that view us and we view them as an extension to their Networking department. We work with them as their businesses grows and evolves.
