Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre has been designed as a highly accessible venue for the local community. We are committed to providing high quality facilities, programs and services for all individuals. Learning to swim is a vital skill in all children's development from a safety perspective, but can also be a highly enjoyable experience and beneficial in the development of motor and social skills. GESAC's Swim School Unlimited program has been specially designed to cater for people with special needs who wish to learn these vital swimming and water safety skills in a welcoming environment. A large focus of the program is inclusion. Wherever possible, participants will be taught within our mainstream lessons creating a social and educational environment where all swimmers progress successfully. All GESAC aquatic education teachers will undertake a disability awareness training program as part of their employment.
