Globetrotter Ausrüstung GmbH is the largest independent outdoor retailer in Europe. Globetrotter has subsidiaries in nine German cities. The company was founded by the two globetrotters, Klaus Denart and Peter Lechhart, in 1979. Denart and Lechhart are still shareholders to this day. The company headquarters are situated in Hamburg.
